a brief summary about your book and the main character. Then, tell
what you like the best about the main character. Explain. What do you
like the least about your main character? Explain. Your response

The Plum Tree is about a girl named Christine who lives in Germany. It takes place just before World War II is about to begin. She falls in love with Isaac, who is Jewish. Christine’s family is very poor, and they actually work for Isaac’s wealthy family. Since they are from different social classes, Christine has to keep her crush a secret until one day she finds out that Isaac feels the same way about her. Just as they are beginning their relationship, World War II hits, and Isaac has to go into hiding because he is Jewish. He gets taken to a concentration camp, and Christine fears she will never see him again.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like about Christine is that she isn’t perfect. She comes from a family who is poor, but she is a hard worker and very skilled. She also is a very loving and caring sister. She takes great care of her younger siblings.
What I do not like about Christine is that she makes some risky choices. For example, when she sees Isaac, enslaved by the Germans, walking through her town, she calls out to him. Then, she hides him in her attic. The Germans end up finding him and send both of them to concentration camps.
You summary is amazing. The amount of detail giving is outstanding. I think adding that she works for his family lets me know that it's kind of a tragic love story
DeleteThis is is really interesting because its talking about how Christine who is from germany and she's falling for a guy who's jewish and has a wealthy family but she is poor but they both like each other but she probably never see him again.

DeleteMy book is Emily Windsnap and the castle in the mist: Emily finally found the two rings and now when the moon fully rises the curse would be broken and she won’t have to say goodbye to one of her parents anymore.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like about Emily: I love how Emily is adventures she always taking risk and getting in trouble and when something goes wrong and she does not like it she always tries to fix it she always getting up when she is down and I love her for that.
What I don’t like about Emily: Is how she has to decide on whether she wants to stay with her mom on land or in the water with her dad because maybe she wants to stay with both of her parents.
what do you mean by with her dad in the water? And i feel like this is you you can pick yourself up when your down!
DeleteIn my book the Catalyst Kate is having some big problem. The Litch’s moved into her house she doesn’t like Teri but she likes her little brother Mikey.Teri is a Litch that steals things and is mean but kate is starting to like her a little more by the second.Kate was trying to go to college but didn’t make it into MIT. She tried everything to know why they didn’t put her in back that was Kate’s school really dreamed about going in when she was in 1st grade.

One of the sides she calles is bad kate when she thinks that when someone tries to say something nice but in a mean when bad kate comes out. Kate’s other side is good Kate where she think that everything is going to be ok but it meant not be going to.
Sometimes Kate can be mean Kate jube’s people before she gets to know them like she hated Teri. Now she is starting to like her as a friend they want though together when Teri and Kate were at her house was on fire.Kate happed fix it up but then something happened to her little brother.
What is a Litch? Would I have to read the book to find that out?

DeleteThe book old man’s cave is about how fone bone and smiley bone are lost in the woods. Then the rat creatures are trying to find phoney bone and trone. The reason they want phoney bone and trone is because they think that they have special powers. Also they think that thorn and phoney could release the dragon that is stone.That went mad and out of control for no reason some day so that the dragon is not stone anymore
ReplyDeleteThe main character in my book is fone bone and what i like most about fone bone is he is always a good leader and he knows everything. Also I like how he like to explore just about everywhere just like me also he likes to read .
What I like least about fone bone is how he always yells at phoney bone and sometimes he yells at him all the time. He sometimes yells at him for no reason also he likes everything his way.
Are smiley bone and phoney bone ,real bones if not then what are they? And i like how you did the summary it was really good how you put it. You did a really good job with all of this !

DeleteEldest is about a boy named Eragon who is becoming a Rider. Eragon’s dragon’s name is Saphira. The story takes place on an Island called Alagaesia. On this island there is an Empire who is ruled by King Galbatorix and another group called the Varden. Eragon has joined forces with the Varden to help stop the Empires from taking over. When Eragon is done helping the Varden from an ambush he needs goes to the elves at Ellesmera and finish his training to become for powerful and be able to take down the Empire.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like about Eragon is that he will always try his hardest and never give up no matter what. Also he is always caring for others and helping them if they need it. If he has a task that he must accomplish he will do whatever he can to get it done.
What I don't like about Eragon is sometimes he won't think things through and will get himself in unnecessary situations. For Example sometimes he will do things that he doesn't need to do and end up in a bad situation.
This book says really cool like the plot of it I feel is like Harry potter. In the book so far does the dragon talk or get killed in the book?
DeleteThis is exactly how I remember reading it. I agree with you that Eragon keeps on going no matter what is in his path. Eldest reminds me of a book I read called Seraphina. The books are almost the same, but people hate the dragons instead of cooperating with them.

DeleteThe book Crossed is about a girl named Cassia. She was born and raised in a society where the “government chooses things like where you live, who you marry and when you die. WHen Cassia is matched with Xander, a lifelong friend, she overjoyed until Ky,another friend, face appears on the screen.When Ky and Cassia form a special bond the society does not approve of, Ky is taken away. Now that Cassia has reunited with Ky,and a few other friends like Indie and Eli, they face even more dangers than before, like joining The Rising, a group of rebellious people who are against the society’s demands.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like most about Cassia is that she’s willing to risk everything including her life, just to stand up for what she knows is right. She’s standing up for what she believes in and how it affects the people that she cares about.
What I least like about Cassia is that some of her decisions only affect her. For example, when Cassia first goes into the carving she brings Indie along with her. Cassia doesn't think about the fact that they don’t have enough food and nearly kills the both of them from starvation.
Why does the government have to choose were they live who she marry. When she die why cant she do things on her own
DeleteThis book sounds like the Among The Hidden series with the government taking over the town and choosing all the rules. Cassia also sounds a lot like the main character from the series too.
DeleteThe Lost Hero, is about a guy named Percy, who is a demigod. A demigod is half-human and half-god. Percy wakes up, having no idea how he got here or who he is. All he knows is that he needs to find a camp designed for demigods only, and he needs to find a girl named Annabeth. While he is looking for Annabeth and the camp, he finds himself being chased by two gorgons. If you know Greek mythology, then you should know that the gorgons are medusas sister -while not having the ability people to stone- he is trying to evade them. But there’s a problem, whenever he kills them they keep reforming within seconds. On the other hand, the gorgons can’t seem to kill him, and keep mentioning the “Achilles spot”. Will Percy find the camp? Or will he find the girl named Annabeth? Read the lost hero by Rick Riordan.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like about Percy is that he’s more realistic than other characters in books. He seems more like a normal teenage guy, then someone pulled out of a authors’ mind. The other thing is that he puts others before himself. He’s selfless, not selfish.
The thing I don’t like about Percy is that he puts too much loyalty in others.
Even when you have good reasons to not trust other people, he still does. Another thing I don’t like about Percy is that sometimes he let’s his anger get the best of him and then his anger judges whatever he does.
I've watched the first movie and I can agree with you about Percy being too loyal.

DeleteThe book Storm Runners is about a kid and his father who chase storm. Which later have to have to figure out where it’s going to hit. They also don’t know weather it is a category five or four. Chase the kid has to face a lot of situations in the process of hurricane emily. They have to stay at a circus on the way of figuring out hurricane emily for awhile.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like about Chase is that he loves what he does with his father. He followed his dream which was chasing storms like his dad.
What I don’t like about Chase is that he wants to join the circus right in the middle of chasing hurricane emily. I don’t like this because it could mess up finding where hurricane emily is going and that is very dangerous.
This story sound interesting. But why does the kid want to join the circus?

When Jacque goes to perform the blood rites to complete the bond between them, Jacque, her mother, and two best friends are in a car accident. They had to take Jacque to the hospital. All the while Jacques father ( who doesn’t know he has a daughter) finds out about her. So he flies in to meet his daughter. As he arrives, his Bata plots to kidnap Jacque and force her to be his mate. What will happen when people take things to the extreme? Will Fane be able to save Jacque?
ReplyDeleteWhat I like best about Jacque is that she is very good at coping with stressful environments. When she is in the hospital she has to meet her father. And this is stressful because she doesn’t know what he is like. So she just takes a deep breath and lets him in. AND what do you know they are A LOT alike.
What I don’t much favor about Jacque is that she doesn’t listen well to Fane. When he says there is something wrong there is.
I like how you described the plot well. You made me wanting to read the book to find out what happens to Bata, Fane and Jacque. Also if any conflicts will happen between Jacque and her father in the book.

DeleteFull tilt is about a guy named Blake who has a brother named Quinn that always gets into trouble. They were at a carnival and played a game that won them a chance to go too a really cool park. There mom was supporting them alone then finally found someone she liked, but Blake and Quinn didn't like him. Quinn decided to go to the park since his brother was too scared. Blakes mom found Quinn unconscious and went after him to the park. They got to the park to find out the only way to get him and his brother out was to ride 7 scary rides.

DeleteThe book Shimmer a girl named Mary and her dog Snickers are going on a advencher and they are taking a walk on the beach but as soon as Mary throws the stick for snickers she does not see him in the distance.Mary got worried, Then after she called to him about five times she then saw snickers walking but she did not see who he was walking with Snickers. Mary kelp looking ahead but still could not see a thing then after awhile the dog got closer and still could not see who the dog was with she got really confused, Then the dog walked even closer to her and the dog dropped the stick and she just keep looking in the distance because she knew that it was not just her dog that was walking it was like a person or maybe a ghost. Mary did not believe in ghost at all she never saw one or liked them but she maybe thought it could have been a ghost.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like about Mary is that she never gives up and I like that about her because she is is going to find out who was walking with her dog Snickers and she will find out who it was maybe it was a person who is like hiding or is just messing around with her or she is hearing something or maybe there was a ghost but she will find out who was walking with her dog Snickers!
I do not like how she made some bad choices and you know not everyone is perfect but that is very true because she chose to go down this dark alley at night after her day out at the beach with Stickers where she found somethings that she was very surprised on what she found out u should read the book to find out!!

ReplyDeletewhat I like about the main characters is that bluestar let fireheart join the clan she is really nice to fireheart and is really brave and kind, fireheart looks like my cat at home and has lots of bravery and is really nice.
bluestar thinks everyone is a traitor in her clan and says she can’t trust anyone but it is because she is getting old the thing a don’t like about fireheart is that doesn't listen sometimes and breaks the warriors code.
Warriors sounds like a really cool book! But what are the clans all trying to do?

DeleteDo Hard Things is about two twins Alex and Brett Harris. Who have started a christian blog and website. And they tell stories about themselves and others doing hard thing. Such as staying home and spending time with their family instead of partying and getting drunk with their friends. Another is a group of friends saying they're going to go see a pg 13 movie.Than try to sneak into an r rated movie but then two friends say no and go and see the actual movie they said they were going to go to.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like about Alex and Brett is how they take on big challenges. One of their challenges was they got offered to be interns at a courthouse. They start in the mail room and work their way into the courtroom. And after they finish the internship. Other courthouses keep sending them letter to come and work for them. That is what I like about Alex and Brett.
What I like least about Alex Brett is that they talk about how they figured out other people and their own problems. For example how they made a website to figure out what people think modesty is. Another example is when they gave advice for someone to tell to stay at home and do home work instead of going to parties. And they said that if their friends don’t accept them for what their choice was they would soon. My last example is when they had to make their web site and they didn’t how to make make one. So they get from one of their blog followers to create their web site. So that is what I don’t like about Alex and Brett Harris.
My main characters name is Beauty. She is a normal 17 year old girl that everyone doesn't really know but long behold she is a princess just wanting to become someone. Beauty knows just how to do that and its to reveal that she is a princess to her whole school. But her mother forces her to keep that a secret for it could lead to a huge problem. She knows that she could get in trouble but she is willing to risk it all to be known. Also to be with her crush when her mother had already arranged a wedding for her to be married to a prince by the name of Riley.

Is that she listens to her mom and thinks before she does make a bad decision that could leave her in mortal danger and that she's willing to forget about her crush and being popular just because shes a princess. Thats what I like the most about my character Beauty.
What I don't like about my character Beauty? Is that she doesn't stand up to her mom about how she doesn't want to get married to prince Riley and to make matters worse she doesn't even know him but that could later have its twist and therefore thats what I don't like about my character Beauty.

I really think that your book sounds really interesting and I think that she is kinda like me in a way, she listens to her mom before she does anything and yet sometimes we all have to do that but you know some parents let the child do whatever but some not so much but over all that sounds really like a good book!

DeleteThe title of my book is Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Hard Luck.The main character of my book is Greg Heffley . He is in middle school, him and his best friend don't talk anymore so he is trying to find a new best friend also while trying to survive middle school. His best friends name was Rowly and they stopped talking because in the summer Rowley's parents thought that greg was a bad influence for him so they weren't allowed to talk anymore.

They have an older brother named Rodrick and he is in a band called ‘The Loaded Diaper’. Rodrick was a bad kid in school and he picks on his brothers. So it seems like Greg is the older sibling in their family.
The thing I like least about greg is that he spies on his ex best friend. He always watches what he is doing. Also, Greg used to make Rowley do everything for him, like he always used to make him carry his bookbag for him
This book is really cool i read it and liked it. I think this book is one of the best in the series.

DeleteThe Cook Camp is about a boy that goes to live with his grandmother because his mom can not take care of him. To get there he has to ride a train for two days. When he gets there he helps build a road with 9 guys. His grandmother would make them food and sometimes he would help her. But after a few days he starts to miss his mom and his mom starts to miss him. so he gets on the train again and gets to see his mom.

Day of Infamy is about john who is a soldier in pearl harbor. john who was on the U.S.S Mississippi. he and his buddies were having a soda and sudly he sees planes in the skies. lots of planes. he thinks to himself “ that can’t be american aircraft, to many planes.” suddenly the siren goes off and everyone rushes to their positions to defend themselves. suddenly they see a bunch of japanese zeros ( WW2 fighter plane ) and gets on his machine gun. And it happens.
ReplyDeleteThe reasons why I like about the main character is that he takes a chance on staying at pearl harbor and helped to defend pearl harbor. if he did not stay the U.S.S Mississippi it would of sank.
what I do not like is that the decisions he made to get in the military. he decides to bribed the reducer and ends not going in military but his father saves him.
Three kids become friends at an airport and soon they find out that a very important flag had been stolen from a museum. Anna, the main character, thinks that the flag might be at the airport so she convinces the Jose and Henry(, the guys she became friends with at the airport,) to work as a team and search the airport for the flag. They find a man that looks suspicious and he leads them into a journey(in the airport) and they find out who was involved in the crime.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like best about Anna is that she is always determined to try her best to do what she thinks is right and she always keeps trying, even when everything that could go wrong does go wrong.
What I like the least about Anna is that sometimes she has a bit too much courage and makes the risks that they are already at even worse.

DeleteWarriors Rising Storm Warriors Rising Storm is about four clans of cats Thunderclan, Riverclan, Shadowclan, Windclan. The main characters in my book is FireHeart,SandStorm,GrayStripe,BlueStar. FireHeart is a former kitty pet (a.k.a) house cat. SandStorm is a clan born (a.k.a) stray. GrayStripe is clan born and former Thunderclan warrior but is now Riverclan warrior. BlueStar Thunderclan leader now on her last life only leaders have nine lives.

GrayStripe: what I like about him is that he would rather be with his kits then his own clan. BlueStar: what I like about her is even after she has been attacked by the former deputy TigerClaw.
FireHeart: what I don't like about him is that he can’t stand up for himself even if he is the deputy now. SandStorm: what I don’t like about her is that she can’t keep to herself. GrayStripe: what I don’t like about him is that he went to RiverClan. BlueStar: what I don’t like about her is that in the face of danger she doesn't show the leadership she needs to show.

ReplyDeleteIn the book Olive’s Ocean Martha, the main character, faces some challenges when one of her friends is hit by a car and killed. She knows secrets and special things about Olive, her friend, that nobody else knows. When she goes on vacation in the summer to her grandma’s house she really wants to tell her grandmother but is scared to because if Olive was alive she thinks she would be disappointed. So Martha has to figure out how to face and live life without telling Olive’s secrets.
ReplyDeleteSome of the things I like best about the main character of my is that she is helpful and loving. She is always there for her friends and family. Another thing I like about her is that she is a simple character but complicated at the same time.
Some of the things I don’t like about my main character is that she can be too uptight sometimes. Another thing that I don’t like about my main character is that she can be too simple or too complicated.
I would definitely recommend Olive’s Ocean to people.
